Although we rely on words to communicate with others, it has actually been proven that almost 90% of our communication is nonverbal, in other words, body language. The remaining 10% is the tone of our voice and the spoken word.
Most people are almost completely unaware of what they express through their body language which unfortunately is often in direct conflict with the verbal communication. This creates a lack of personal integrity which does not allow powerful communication to take place.
HORSES ARE MASTERS OF BODY LANGUAGE!
Herd animals all follow one ultimate leader and watch his every move carefully. Whenever we step into the world of the horse, we become his leader. If our body language is clear, consistent and fair, the horse will reciprocate by showing us companionship, trust and respect, as he would his equine leader. If not, the horse himself will resume leadership and a severe breach of communication will occur almost instantly. The same dilemma exists in the human world when people interact on a daily basis. In order to master body language and radiate balance and stability, we need to believe in the message we convey and have confidence in ourselves. Observing how horses communicate can improve our own skills immensely and help us obtain leadership of our lives.
